Albacete ist die Hauptstadt der gleichnamigen Albacete (Provinz)|Provinz Albacete und der Autonome Regionen Spaniens|autonomen Gemeinschaft von Kastilien-La Mancha in Spanien. Sie liegt ungefähr 200 km südöstlich von Madrid im Flachland von La Mancha. Bekannt ist sie vor allem wegen der Messerherstellung sowie durch eine Rennstrecke, auf welcher jährlich ein Motorradlangstreckenrennen stattfindet. Die Stadt ist ebenfalls ein Bischofssitz für das Bistum Albacete.
Das bis 2001 verwendete Kfz-Kennzeichen (Spanien)|Kfz-Kennzeichen der Provinz Albacete war AB.
